Hot shoe mount problems and a quick fix | Pinkstar Event Photography

I’ve been using canon 5D mark III bodies for event photography and haven’t had any problems with them so far. During an event my flash stopped firing and I promptly switched to my back up.  Upon investigation I realized that the hotshoe mount on my cameras was jerking / loose  my flash on camera wasn’t making a connection with the camera (half the time the flash pins were touching the camera the other half they weren’t – hence why the flash wasn’t firing).  At first I thought damn more money on equipment.  But when both flashes didn’t work, I knew it had to be the body.

After a little research everything is found on the net, so I pulled up this little video on how to fix it.

A total life saver for us that rely on our gear to run top notch at all times and not crap out, ever!
